Who We Are
Southfield A&T National Honor Society is dedicated to excellence in the principles of Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. We demonstrate these principles through hosting events, Parent-Teacher Conferences, orientations, weekly tutoring, community service activities, district-wide events and participation in the National and State Leadership Conferences.

In order to become a member, applicants must have:
- A 3.30 cumulative Grade Point Average
- Participation in at least two extra-curricular activities/ community activities or organizations
- Four teacher or community mentor recommendations from previous year
- A completed submission packet before the deadline
- A completed digital resume on oneself and the four Principles of NHS -Our current team will record these
To maintain membership, NHS students must:
- Maintain the GPA requirements
- Regularly attend the monthly NHS meetings- (On Saturday Evenings: see calendar)
- Pay state,national and chapter dues ($50 total- payment is due at each meeting:increments of $5-$10)
- Participate in our many events and activities!
- Obtain a minimum Service requirement of 16 hours (6 of which are tutoring), and complete Leadership and Character requirements specified during the academic year
- Turn in an NHS Student Portfolio of Achievement every year: we support our members in the development of this archive
